You are warmly welcome to join the Imagination Club on Wednesday,
10 June at 18h45 for an talk/workshop on:
Insight on the influence of Osteopathy on Trauma
A talk/workshop by Tom Meyers
Trauma can be experienced through negative (fall, violation, quarrel…)
as well as positive experiences (changing job, having a baby, moving house)…
Trauma can cause symptoms like: No joy in life, apathy, self-centeredness,
dissociation, disrupted relationships, chronic fatigue, pain, irritability,
easily angered, distress, not coping, feeling overwhelmed, feeling locked
/ blocked, upset stomach… but also severe back pain.
The key player in these symptoms is our reptilian brain… that part
that watches over our survival. When this system is out of balance, we
are in survival mode and our rational self is compromised.
Tom, osteopath in Brussels observed through his patients how balancing
the reptilian brain made the difference in the person’s self-healing
potential. In his first presentation on this subject Tom will present
his insights into this new concept.
